Honeymoons in Paris- Things to Do

A honeymoon in Paris. What is more romantic than Paris. Isn’t it the perfect place for lovers. Isn’t French not the language of love they say? Thinking about going? Here are some ideas that may help while you are honeymooning in Pa-ree.

Things to Do in Paris

eiffel tower

The Eiffel Tower

  • Visit the Eiffel Tower- This is a no-brainer of course. Who doesn’t know to go visit this place, even if they don’t know what the heck it is? It was erected in 1889 for the Paris Exposition. It was engineered by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, who won a design competition out of 700 applicants. Some Parisians did not take well to it at the time. Calling it useless and an impediment to France’s history of art. It is well loved by many Parisians now, so go figure? If you want to go visit, there are some things you should know.
    • Don’t pick any old time to go. Just like you want to go visit the Eiffel, so does everyone else. If you pick the middle of the day, your wait could be a few hours. Try going as early in the morning as you can, or go late. If you are going late, be sure to have your own transportation. By late night time the metro could stop running and you could be stuck waiting on a taxi cab along with everyone else.
    • If you want to get to the top go to the pier that sells top tickets before you enter the Eiffel tower. If you don’t, you may not be able to get a top ticket after you enter.

Honeymoons in Mauritius

Mauritius

Oh Mauritius, what a beautiful site!

Everyone talks about Jamaica, Hawaii, or the Bahamas as a honeymoon spot. What about Mauritius? Mauritius is an island nation located in the southwest part of the Indian Ocean. It is located off the southwest coast of Africa about 560 miles east of Madagascar. It has an average coastal area temp of 71 degrees in the winter and 93 in the summer. Activities include deep sea fishing, golfing and shopping. ( Now if you love deep sea fishing you will love this place.) Almost all the hotels offer wedding packages including the Hilton.
