Know Your Wedding Dress Size

Thinking of buying your wedding dress off the rack? How about buying it from an online store. While you can save upwards of hundreds of dollars on the dress itself, it doesn’t mean that you’ll save money overall. One of the biggest mistakes you can make is getting the wrong size. You are better off letting a professional size you so that you can get your correct measurements the first time. If you measure too small, altering it could be a problem if there is not enough fabric to let out. This can result in higher than normal charges for alterations. Get the correct measurements! But if you have to..and I mean have to do it yourself, it is better to add a half inch so that it will be easier to alter. As you may have already guessed, it is easier to alter it to a smaller size than a larger one. You are almost guaranteed that your dress needs to be fitted anyway right before the wedding, so make it easier on yourself.
